Another lousy day in Utah...

at Ryan's Retreat in Castle Valley (click to enlarge.) This is but a small tidbit of a larger panorama that I assembled today using the Gigapan Epic 100. Buggy software, though.

Enjoy!

  1. What can I say but "WOW"! Was this your first effort with the gigapan and actually assembling a mosaic? How long did it take to shoot and then assemble the immage?

  2. This was not the first use of the Gigapan unit nor the software. This mini-pan consists of only seven images.

I did shoot a 180 degree pan but the batteries ran down - a chronic complaint of other users. Also, the stitching software is buggy and it did not export a properly parsed .tiff file for the larger pan.

So I've filed another ticket with tech support and am not hopeful for a timely reply. I'll let a few days slide and then make another critical blog post!
