Slightly off topic, I know, but I thought you might be interested that I got a reply from Dr. Arevalo regarding the letter I sent to him about the staff reductions. I actually got the response a few weeks ago, but I've been really busy and hadn't had a chance to check my email. Anyhow, here it is...

Sorry to hear that you are disappointed with our staff reductions. I don't believe that your education and access to courses will be reduced by the reduction we have had to make due to our budget cuts. Our efforts have been directed at maintaining and in some cases enhancing our teaching mission, that is why most of our tuition dollars will be directed toward hiring faculty during the coming year.
I would encourage you to remain at Eastern and complete your program.
